Five Favorites | August Edition

These are some of my favorite posts to write! I love sharing some new products, foods, clothing, etc. that I’ve been enjoying lately. I know I get some great ideas from other bloggers when they write these types of posts, so hopefully you’ll feel the same after reading mine!

TULA Skin Products

I typically have acne prone skin, but during pregnancy my skin miraculously turns to perfection. If only it stayed that way all the time! Now that I’m no longer pregnant, my skin is transitioning back to its acne prone pre-pregnancy ways. I was on the lookout for a natural based skincare line to cleanse, prevent and treat acne, and moisturize my face … and that’s when I came across TULA Skincare. I ordered a sample size pack that sold me after the first week of using it. I’ve been using the purifying face cleanser, the acne clearing + tone correcting gel, and the oil-free gel cream. The Purifying Cleanser has a subtle scent that makes my face feel clean and refreshed, and it does a great job of removing my make-up. The Acne Clearing + Tone Correcting Gel prevents acne, clears up my previous acne, and doesn’t dry out my skin. Lastly, the Oil-Free Gel Cream is lightweight and does a great job of moisturizing my face without making it feel super greasy. I love that the products are clean yet effective, and they are packed with probiotics and superfoods to keep my skin nourished and happy. Needless to say, I’m a total fan!

Perfect Bars

I initially discovered Perfect Bars a few years ago, but I guess I forgot about them for awhile, which is sad because they’re just SO GOOD! I love the all natural ingredients, they’re incredibly satisfying (especially for being a bar), and they’re tasty too. If you’re a nut butter fan, I have a feeling you will love these! They’re a great snack for anyone, but particularly breastfeeding mamas because they’re packed with protein and healthy fats, which is perfect for satisfying hunger and helping milk supply.

Milk Snob Carseat & Nursing Cover

My girlfriend gave me this Milk Snob cover, and it’s THE BEST! I love that it’s lightweight, soft, and stretchy … but mostly that it’s so versatile! I put it over Smith’s carseat to help keep people’s hands out, and I can easily take it off to use as a nursing cover when we’re out and about. You can also use it on high chairs, in grocery carts, and as a blanket. I highly recommend these covers to any new mama!

Madewell High Waisted Denim Shorts

I’m still about 10 pounds above my pre-pregnancy weight (which, for the record, I could care less about at the moment!). While a few of my shorts fit, they are pretty tight and uncomfortable. I wanted to find a pair of comfortable denim shorts that were modest but not too “mom-ish” (if that makes sense?) to help me feel confident in my postpartum body. I found these amazing Madewell High Waisted Denim Shorts at Nordstrom Rack and instantly fell in love! They’re comfortable, flattering, and there’s no booty hanging out (major bonus)!

Phil & Teds Sport Stroller

We bought this Phil & Teds Sport Stroller after I randomly spotted one at the zoo several months ago. I wanted to be able to push two kids, but I didn’t want a full size massive double stroller. This has fit our needs perfectly! You can use it as a single stroller, but can easily add on a seat to make it a double without it feeling like a huge stroller. There are all sorts of seat variations as our kids grow and change. I highly recommend this if you’re wanting a double stroller without the size of a typical double stroller! We use it all the time.
