Family Utah Trip!
We decided to take a road trip up to Utah over our kids’ fall break earlier this month to visit our family and friends, and to of course enjoy the beautiful fall colors and weather as well. We lived in Utah for about five years, and I miss it every fall season. The fall colors and the crisp cool air gets me! I just love it.
We stayed with our good friends the first half of the trip. They have a couple boys that Hunter adores, so it was sweet to see them have such a fun time together. We mostly enjoyed one another’s company, went on some walks, drove up to the mountains to immerse ourselves in the fall colors, and ate good food and drank wine! It was relaxing, fun, and just so nice to have some quality time with them.
The second half of our trip, we stayed with Cody’s brother, his wife, and their kids, who are all around the same ages as our kids. They play so well together, so it was nice to have them entertain one another the whole time! We had some great chats and fun times with Cody’s brother and his wife too. We sure do miss them here in Arizona! We were able to go to Cornbelly’s, a nearby pumpkin patch and festival, with them which is one of my favorite fall traditions in Utah. We also spent some time meeting up with a few other good friends that we have missed!
Overall, our trip was really special, simply because we got to spend time with those people we miss in Utah. Nothing fancy, but perfect for a fall family trip! And of course, it was just beautiful there. All the colors were starting to change on the trees, and we lucked out with amazing weather.
It’s a trip I’ll forever cherish!
